Chilli with Chocolate

Serves 4

Method

 Fry the mince, onion and garlic until the mince is brown  and the  onion golden

Add the chilli powder and stir

Add the tomatoes, beef stock, kidney beans, ketchup and stir for a few minutes

Add the bay leaves, green pepper and a pinch of salt

Cover and simmer for 1-2 hours until all the favours

Before serving, stir in the pieces of chocolate.

Serve with rice or some crust bread.

500g lean steak mince

1 large onion, chopped

1 clove garlic

2 tbsp chilli powder

2 tins chopped tomatoes

1 tin kidney beans

4 tbsp tomato ketchup

1 cup beef stock

2 bay leaves

1 green pepper, finely chopped

3 fingers of dark chocolate

Prep/cooking time

1-2 Hours
